How to play N64 roms on your PC
79N64 roms and playable!
This tutorial will guide you to play N64 on your pc using N64 roms.
Things you will need:
Project 64-http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/project64.html ( Go down to where it say's download. Click on project 64 1.6.)
N64 rom sites- Roms is another way to say games. You would have to download your games are diffrent websites you find. I can give you some websites where you can download your roms.
CoolRom-http://www.coolrom.com/roms/n64/
Emuparadise-http://www.emuparadise.org/roms/n64/
Pick the game you want and download.

-After you have downloaded your project 64 Double click on your downloaded file, If you used firefox, the downloaded file should be at the desktop. ( Porject64_1.6.exe)
-Click Next
-Click Next > again
-Click Install
-Click Finish
Congrats, you have just installed Project 64

How to play roms:
-First download a Rom
Extract it using winRaR
-Start up project 64 it should be in your start menu. Click file in project 64 and press open rom. The rom extension is in this format .z64, .rom , etc.

Why can't I start up project N64?
it says i need a controler but i dont have one
all you do is push enter to get past on some roms

i cant get get harvest moon 64 to start i bought the cd rom project 64 and i get to the screen on harvest moon where it says play i push enter and it works but when it says pick a diary it wont enter ive tried every button and the controller setups but nothing works
my computer doesn't know what to open it with
can i not run the games without a controller?
I can seem to run in games even with a N64 controller. Any ideas? I am running project 64
For all the people who are questioning about the controller issue for Project64, I've figured out what is going on. When you open the program, click Options at the top, and make sure that the selection "Controller is Plugged In" is checked. This will enable the program to recognize your keyboard as your controller.

Hey, I've downloaded Zelda Ocarina of time, It runs for a short while completely fine and the normal fps, (50ish) Then my computer just crashes, any ideas?

Hey guys/girls! I no y it says theres no controller connected. This thing works fine, just go to options on menu bar, click on configure contoller plug in, theres a box that says "controller is plugged in. Click and enjoy :D

K so I just downloaded Project 64 Version 1.6 and Pokemon Snap, now I got it all in the proper places but eachtime I go to load up the game into Project 64 it says "Cannot open rom because plugins have not successfully initialised." What do I do?
